You’ve heard of Oktoberfest, the classic beer festival originating in Germany – well, we've decided that October is too long to wait! Enter Llanelli Augustfest, the town centre’s inaugural beer festival, coming up on Saturday 5th August!

The festival will see craft beer and cider makers from the South Wales locale offering a taste of all their best brews on Vaughan Street. They’ll be joined by hot street food vendors and produce traders on Stepney Street, while live music sets a jovial atmosphere on the Vaughan Street stage from 12pm to 6pm.

We're also hosting a tie-in beer trail throughout eight Llanelli town centre venues; pick up a beer trail card from any participating venue and collect a stamp when you buy any alcohol or soft drink. Complete your card by collecting a stamp from all eight venues, and you’ll be in with the chance to win a luxury beer hamper. The trail is on from 29th July until 12th August.

Town centre venues are preparing for the big day with beer-themed events throughout the week, including the York Palace, the Tinhouse, and the New Drovers.

Llanelli legends, Felinfoel Brewery, are set to stand on the day itself, alongside Llanelli Beer Park, Marzano’s, Zoo Brew, Afal-y-Graig, Llanblethian Orchards, and more. All beer trail venues will also be showing the World Cup warm-up game between Wales and England, with kick-off at 5:30pm.
