Superheroes and villains will be teaming up to take over Llanelli town centre for Superhero Day on Wednesday 19th February!

The heroes are set to cause a stir in Stepney Square from 12-3pm alongside three Batmobile replicas in a free event organised by Ymlaen Llanelli.

Popular Marvel and DC characters attending include:

  • Batman, the Joker and Catwoman in three iconic Batmobile replicas!
  • Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Captain Marvel, Hulk- Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Aquaman, Mera, the Flash, Supergirl
  • Mrs Incredible and Violet Incredible

After a procession down Stepney Street at 12pm, there’ll be a chance grab a selfie with the heroes and admire the legendary Batmobiles, each inspired by the 1966, 1989 and 2008 Batman films.

There’ll be also superhero tattoos in Llanelli Indoor Market from 9:45am, as well as face painting, superhero crafts and a children’s ride in Stepney Square from 12pm, all for free.

We can’t wait to see everyone's reactions this time!

Lesley Richards, chair of Ymlaen Llanelli, is looking forward to the half-term fun: “We’re incredibly excited to be hosting our biggest and best superhero day yet – it's always a smash-hit with the children and we can’t wait to see their reactions this time!”

The event is the first in our 2020 programme of events, and we'll be following it with Cartoon Capers Returns! on Wednesday 8th April.

Other events to look forward to throughout the year include Llanelli 80s FestivalLlanelli Vintage Festival and Llanelli Food and Drink Festival.
